Aptonoth
An Aptonoth is a herbivore animal and is the first monster you slay. After slaying it, you get the carving tutorial that teaches you to carve rewards from monsters.
Ecology[]
The Aptonoth is similar to a Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus and Hadrosaur, and has similar abilities. It rams you with its head and hits you with its tail but only does a minimum amount of damage. Once it's dead, you can carve items from it. Raw Meat is the most common of the items you may get. The other being Monster Bone S is a bit more rare to obtain.
